At Ash Ridge Vineyards we produce Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Sauvignon Blanc and at Cardoness Vineyard we produce Syrah and Chardonnay. Everyone can enjoy our single estate Hawke’s Bay wines. They are made from the best grapes on the vineyard, which we personally select and hand-pick to ensure the best quality

Our vineyard reserve Cabernet Merlot is a seriously robust wine with wonderful aromas reminiscent of raspberry, cassis, blackcurrant and toasty oak. On the palate the wine displays a full bodied richness with ripe smooth tannins and lifted notes of cassis, chocolate, fruit cake and leather.
To retain its natural, premium characteristics this wine is unfiltered and may naturally develop a fine sediment.

Ash Ridge Vineyard Cabernet Merlot 2006
This Cabernet Merlot is made from individual batches of hand-selected premium grapes. Its distinctive character reflects a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (42%), Merlot (26%), Cabernet Franc (26%) and Malbec (6%).
Aged for 15 months in American oak barrels, this wine exhibits ripe blackcurrant and dark fruit on the nose with nuances of subtle oak. It has a very approachable palate, with dark red berry fruits and spice accompanied by nicely integrated sweet vanillin and soft, silky tannins.
Enjoy now, or cellar for up to five years.
Ash Ridge Vineyard Cabernet Merlot 2005
A classic blend of 4 traditional Bordeaux varieties; Cabernet Sauvignon (35%), Merlot (30%), Cabernet Franc (25%) and Malbec (10%). Aged in American oak barriques for 16 months this wine exhibits vanilla and violets on the nose and strong varietal characteristics on the palate; soft tannins and heaps of fruit.
This wine can be enjoyed now, but will be even better in time (cellar for up to 8 years).
Syrah

The result of an exceptional growing year, this wine displays wonderful aromas of dark berry fruits, an intense palate of blackberry flavours interwoven with fine tannins, and a lingering finish of spice and chocolate.

Ash Ridge Reserve Barrel Fermented Sauvignon Blanc 2007

Looking for a special Sauvignon Blanc? This is it. Pressed into French oak barrels and fermented using a combination of wild vineyard and selected other yeasts, this wine is complex and rich. It is fresh and zingy with a luscious mouth feel and crisp, fresh acidity to give a long satisfying finish.
